Blue Snow Energy Laboratory
2019
This was a 1.5RT modified air-cooled chilled water test rig where Proof of Concept that was done in 2019. The range of energy savings achieved was 18 to 47% over the water baseline. The average savings obtained from this exercise is 32.7%.

Blue Snow Energy Laboratory
2022
We conducted a 2-month energy performance validation from November to December 2021 and February to March 2022. The HVAC laboratory tested Blue Snow’s graphene-based nanofluid by replacing chilled water, resulting in a 21% average reduction in chiller energy consumption with savings ranging from 11% to 31%.

Universiti Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia France Institute
(UniKL-MFI)
2022
The activity took place in the UniKL MFI Laboratory on a 35RT Chilled Water system. The energy performance of the system was assessed by running it initially with water and then with nanofluid in the closed chilled water loop. We conducted a 6-week energy performance validation exercise in collaboration with the HVAC department. The exercise, held from July to September 2022, involved replacing the chilled water system with Blue Snow’s graphene-based nanofluid in the HVAC laboratory. Results showed a 25% average reduction in chiller energy consumption, with savings ranging from 16% to 29%.

The Astana
2022
A 16-day validation exercise was carried out at Astana in Kuching, Sarawak, from November 30 to December 15, 2022. Built in 1870 by Charles Brooke, the second “White Rajah” of Sarawak, the Astana is an impressive palace on the north bank across from the Waterfront. Originally a bridal gift for his wife, Margaret, it now serves as the official residence of the Governor of Sarawak and is not open to visitors. The chiller system itself is over 28 years old. The chilled water system was tested by replacing water with Blue Snow’s graphene-based nanofluid, resulting in 21% energy efficiency increase on one chiller. With two chillers running, a whopping 41.7% energy efficiency increase was recorded. As of now, the nanofluid is still circulating in the system and continues to show energy savings.
